Business Management Analysis

Running a successful business requires careful planning and consideration of multiple factors. How strong is the market for the services that are to be offered? How many staff are needed, and what kind of education and training do they require? What kinds of equipment have to be purchased? While these questions are often examined during initial business planning phases, once a business is up and running, quite often certain unforeseen issues come up or situations change that require an owner’s attention in order to keep things running smoothly (or in more severe cases, at all).

As mentioned on the blog earlier in the week, Aarluk has partnered with Otus Group to provide a new business management analysis service across the territory. This will help Nunavut businesses assess how they are doing, identify risks and opportunities, and determine where they should focus their attention. The business management analysis service is a three step process.

1. An interview with the client. These interviews are primarily conference calls with multiple business and financial experts, from Certified General Accountants to Certified Information Systems Auditors, who go through an in depth review of the business with the client.

2. Analysis. The results of the interview are then examined by our expert team, who review how to make the business to run more efficiently. This review examines everything from general business strategy and governance issues to financial management, information technology, human resources and growth opportunities, among other factors.

3. Summary Report. After thorough analysis is completed, a report is produced for the client with key recommendations for improving their operations and overall value of their business.
Initial response to this new service at the Nunavut Trade show & Conference was very positive, due to the fact that it provides high value at a low cost for all business types, whether it is a large successful firm that has been running for many years, or a small new business just starting out. Each review will cost $750, and take approximately 7-10 business days to complete. Contact us at solutions@aarluk.ca for more details or if you’d like to give the service a try!
